Zurich, 15 January, 2013 - Interactive Data Corporation, a leading provider of financial market data, analytics and related solutions, has developed an innovative financial portal for the Swiss business journal Finanz und Wirtschaft (FuW; “Finance and Economy”).
Providing increased transparency on the Swiss financial markets, global real-time market data, and professional analysis tools, the offering is designed to add value to existing FuW subscribers and attract new user groups. The solution is also available on popular mobile devices. Interactive Data supported the development process from conception and design to content integration, through to the programming and management of the website.
The equity section features top and flop lists, top deals, top sales and abnormal volumes. Sector indices of the Swiss Performance Index SPI, an overall market index for the Swiss stock market, are represented, and can be sorted by performance. Bonds and yield curves can be searched and the results displayed. Foreign exchange rates are displayed to four decimal places in real-time with push functionality.
Commodity prices are provided in real-time with modern visualization techniques, such as charts for the benchmarking of commodity-related shares. In addition, a risk-return map helps to analyze the volatility and performance of shares.
Besides real-time share prices on the Swiss exchange, numerous innovative features can be found in the registered area of the website. For example, a modern hybrid chart tool with an integrated “Finanz und Wirtschaft” news feature allows detailed chart analysis. In addition, personal watch lists and portfolios are available in an interactive chart tool. Users can subject their portfolio to a comprehensive technical analysis and also integrate historical time series. The popular FuW Stock Guide and the FuW Rating are now also available as an interactive solution with a filter function. News, analyst recommendations and analysis of AWP are also available.
“Our goal is to offer our users and subscribers innovative value-added services and make FuW a leading financial portal in Switzerland”, says Mark Dittli, Executive Editor of FuW. “Interactive Data has provided considerable support with their visionary consulting and rapid, smooth project implementation.”
“We are proud of our collaboration with FuW, as it underscores our focus on providing our clients with easily accessible, innovative, flexible solutions designed to efficiently support their business”, states Christian Thier, Managing Director, Interactive Data Managed Solutions AG in Switzerland. “When planning and creating the multichannel solutions for web, mobile and tablet devices, we attached great importance to tailoring the solution to meet FuW’s complex user requirements.”
